Mets, Perez Agree to Terms

The Mets have signed Oliver Perez to a 3-year 36 million dollar contract. In 2008, Perez went 10-7 with a 4.22 ERA in 197 innings pitched. Perez performed extremely well in July and August of last season.

He was not great during the other months but he was alright.

Hey Mets, whatever helps you sleep at night. There is nobody out there who should really criticize the signing. 12 mil a year may be a stretch but its alright. We have seen what Perez can do.

This particular blog post is based solely on this link so I figured it would be appropriate to share it with you.

And thanks ESPN. Nice job!
